Happy 1st Birthday Little Miss C {McKinney North Dallas Photographer}

Although I may be over 2 months late in sharing these I figured better now than never!  I snapped a few quick pictures at the bottom of the stairs before church for her birthday.  It's only been about 10ish weeks since then but she has changed so much already!  I think she looks different, shes just barely starting to walk and talk.  Not to mention SO SO smart.  It's kind of scary.  She's feeding herself with a fork and spoon and understands how to do something if you show her once or twice.  We love this little lady so much and are so lucky to have her in our family.  I can go on and on about her but will just share these pics instead:

 

These were too funny not to share.  

Out came the cake and candle...she really wasn't sure how to react...

 She cried for a minute...

 and then realized that cake and frosting were a tasty part of life 

that had been missing until now!

Baby C {Santa Clarita Valencia 91355 Newborn Photographer}

My sweet baby girl has arrived!  She was about one week old when my mom and I decided to do a quick, impromptu shoot with my sleepy baby.  She has truly been an angel baby.  Here are a few of my faves:

 Big sister couldn't resist being part of the shoot!  She grabbed a flower and jumped in...I had to get a shot of that beautiful face : )

I can't believe she's already 8 weeks old!  I have more darling pics to post of this smiley blue-eyed baby from our recent trip to Toronto!!!  Soon to come..........

R & C Engagement Part II {Santa Clarita Valencia 91355 Wedding Photographer}

Sooooo shoot #1 was for their wedding invitation and to have some pictures of them to display at the reception...this shoot was to show off their fancy traditional Chinese outfits. My Brother's Fiance is from China, and had these made for them there.  Only the best!!!  

Growing up in Santa Clarita, I've never really seen or known about traditional Chinese weddings, so it was really cool to learn more about it.  Red and Gold are a timeless tradition, and made for a beautiful dress for the bride-to-be.

R & C Engagement Part I {Santa Clarita Valencia 91355 Wedding Photographer}

 I have been terribly behind on posting some of my latest work!!!  I guess moving, helping plan a wedding, shoots, and being preggo has gotten the best of me this year.

Now that all of that is over I actually have time to process my thoughts!  
I wanted to share a few of these engagement photos with you.  Although every couple I photograph is special, this one is close to my heart because it's my brother and his sweet fiance!  I was thrilled when they had me photograph them during this special time.

Mr. & Mrs. B {LDS Wedding Photographer}

This couple is just darling.  SO in love.  SO happy.

Valentine's Day Special - Part 2: The Beauties {Santa Clarita Valencia 91355 Portrait Photographer}

If you haven't seen what I did with the cute kids that came in for my Valentine's Day special, you can read about it here.  These beautiful ladies came in for the same deal, but I thought they needed their own post!  

Aren't they lovely?  They were my breath of fresh air in between all of the kiddos! Don't get me wrong, I looooove the kids but every once in a while, an easy adult just makes me a happy girl. 

I've got lots of great posts coming up!  Can't wait to show what I've been up to lately......

A Chuck Kinda Wedding {Santa Clarita Valencia 91355 Wedding Photographer}

Meet M & C.  Talk about an awesome couple.  M is obviously beautiful but also super sweet and a talented hair and makeup artist!  That's what I call a triple-threat!  C is totally laid back and real.  And together they are all smiles!  I loved how they couldn't help but laugh with each other whenever they were together.

These were taken at a beach in Carlsbad, Ca...Thanksgiving weekend (can you guess what I was thankful for???).  Perfect weather?  Check.  Beautiful surroundings?  Check.  Adorable couple?  Check.  Easy peasy.   

Next, of course, came the BIG day.  I'm such a sucker for black & white weddings and once I finished processing these I couldn't help but LOVE every single one in b&w.

The Wedding & Reception was held at a beautiful Golf Resort in Carlsbad.  The girls got ready in the Bridal Suite and the guys did their own thing in, well, the guy's room.  The thing I loved about this wedding was that everyone in the Bridal Party had a pair of Chucks.  Each with their name embroidered on the back.  LOVE it!  

Did I mention that day turned out to be one of the coldest days of the year?  Yikes!  Everyone was freezing but put up with the cold so that I could get some shots of everyone together.

 

 They had a classic big white tent for their Reception.  Simple yet elegant.  I loved the giant lanterns, and the Bride & Groom Cake Pops were just darling.

They had one table dedicated to the kids at the reception.  It was decked out with candy and all kinds of fun treats and toys.  One of the things they got in their swag bags were temporary tattoo sleeves to match the Groom.  Once they got them on they couldn't wait to show C and get a picture taken.  Aren't they adorable???

Alas, it was finally time for the newlyweds to call it a night.  I just love weddings and was thrilled to be part of theirs!
