Revolt! Fitness - Week 4

So we are one month into this Revolt! Fitness routine....and honestly it has really begun to rewire the way I think about eating.  I mean, don't get me wrong, I still crave YUM YUM maple donuts like, every day. LOL.  But I see the benefit in eating clean and eating what your body needs, not what your brain wants! 
Our Free days are interesting....we are learning more and more that we actually enjoy eating the way Revolt! Fitness  has us eating during the week.  We just feel better.  Not weighed down or bloated or.....
I guess it also helps that my clothes are fitting me a little nicer and my tire is shrinking! Woohoo!  We are definitely seeing the flab melt away.

Ms. A {Santa Clarita Valencia 91355 Glamour Photographer}

Let me start out by saying how behind I am in keeping up with my posts!!! I've been incredibly busy - in a GOOD way - and have been trying to balance everything that's been going on.  It's not easy being a wife and momma, photographer to so many wonderful people, running my ROCKIN' Nerium business and keep up with my blog!!!  Phew!  I hope you can forgive my randomness but enjoy the lovely pictures : )

As soon as Ms. A walked in the door I knew we were going to have a fabulous shoot.  Isn't she beautiful?  Sweet as can be, too.  
 She let us get creative with her and stick her in one of the frou frou skirts I have in the studio to really glam it up.  I love how everything turned out!

Revolt! Fitness - Week 3

Following the Revolt! Fitness meal plan and workout routine has been a big eye opener for me as far as realizing how much CRAP I was really eating...ALL DAY!  I love contrasting that to what we are doing now and how much more fresh and healthy we are eating!!!  I plan on eating like this forever.  Honestly!  Don't get me wrong though.  Temptation is always lurking around the corner and this last Friday I went out of town for the weekend (read more about it here) and gave in!!!  

Saturday is supposed to be our "free" day (and what a glorious day it is!!) but I slipped and started it Friday night instead at In-N-Out.  With that and then Mother's Day on Sunday I had no time to prepare any food for the upcoming week and consequently Monday wasn't too fabulous either.  Grrr!! Needless to say, the hubbs followed suit.  We finished the week strong and were SO GOOD at our Friday night open house that we held in our home for Nerium.  We didn't touch one treat!  I was so proud : )

Preparation is KEY to having success.  I think with anything we do.  But for this especially.  If you don't plan and prepare ahead of time, when hunger strikes temptation sets in!!!  I have definitely learned my lesson in this and hope to avoid situations like it again.

As far as stats for the week go:
I'm UP .5 a lb :( BOOOOOOO  Thanks to my terrible cheat weekend!!!
Hubbs is down .5lb YAY!

Elevate Blog Conference 2013

Elevate had it's 2nd annual blog conference this past Saturday in Newport Beach, CA.  I was honored to be their photographer!  My good friend Jen and her 2 friends were hosting the big event!!!  Let me tell you, these ladies know how to throw a par-tay!

The location couldn't have been any more gorgeous.  Perfection to a T.  I would throw any kind of party there.  Right on the beach, beautiful weather, gorgeous landscaping and a wonderful staff.  What more could you ask for?

They were real and genuine.  And they put up with me shoving a giant camera in their face ALL day.  And they smiled about it too!  At least while I was looking....

Isn't the decor just darling???  I mean, brain just doesn't work like that!!!!  
Busy day, but so much fun!  I feverishly worked on this highlight reel as soon as I got home so that we could get it out to everyone who was there!!!  Enjoy!

Revolt! Fitness - Week 2

 Ok so this has been week 2 of following Revolt! Fitness' meal and workout routine.  If you haven't had a chance to check out Nichole's site you should!!! I wanted to share the video that she has on her site with you here because it's powerful!  It's her story and how she got to this point in her life.  And honestly, this is the program to be on if you are looking to make a change!  It's so AFFORDABLE and easy to follow.  It's kind of a no-brainer!!!!  I'll have more info on how to sign up through me soon!!!  I can't wait to start creating my own little Revolt! team and watch everyone's transformations!
Last Saturday was the first "FREE" day.  So awesome!!! I ate whatever I wanted and didn't feel one tiny ounce of guilt.  However, it was also a VERY busy day and I didn't have time to shop for food for the following weeks meals.  So Monday was kind of on the fly and we did what we could to make it fit with our meal plans.  Did I mention I'm making the hubbs do this with me?  Yup.  All the way.  He's such a good sport and knows that he's going to be where he wants to in the long run.  I love going to the gym and doing our workouts together!!! Makes me think of our newlywed phase when we did everything together!  Life with no kids was easy peasy!!! It's hard getting up in the morning but honestly we know its good for us so we do it!! 
Anyway, the week was pretty good.  There were one or two days where I literally wanted to eat everything in sight, but I held off with an extra protein shake and a few almonds instead to curb any kind of cravings I was having.  Lots of fresh yummy food inbetween that : )  I SOOOO look forward to Saturday though!!!
As of our weigh in this morning I have lost another pound, making that 4.5lbs total so far.  Hubbs has lost 4lbs so far.  Yay!!

Revolt! Fitness - Week 1

I'm finishing the tail end of my first week using Nichole Huntsman's Revolt! fitness program and meal plans...and I am loving it!!!  I am down 3.5lbs my friends!  That's from Monday til Friday.....woohoo!!!  I really just want to loose the flab and get toned and fit! 

Ok so here's how it works:  Nichole has put together this incredible program that is super streamlined and easy to follow.  Meals change weekly (same thing for bfast all week long, next week it's a different menu, etc), as do the workouts.  I LOVE the meal thing because I do all the prep work ONE day and throw everything together so that the work is pretty much done for the rest of the week!  I freeze what I can and voila!  Life is simple.  Worrying about what and what not to eat is a thing of the past for me!  Plus, when I get hungry I know exactly what's on the menu so I don't get tempted to eat something I'm not supposed to have.  

The workouts are fantastic.  3 intensity levels.  6 days a week.  Everything is spelled out for you.  The best thing is that the workouts are only 20-30 minutes each day.  So by the time I leave the house, go to the gym (you can totally do the workouts at home but I LOVE doing them at the gym) do my workout and come home it's almost exactly an hour.  Perfect!  The best part about it is Nichole posts videos of not only herself doing the workout so that you can do it with her at home, but she also breaks it down and does a quick blurb in the begining and shows you what each move is.  This is perfect for me because it's quick, to the point, and I can take what she shows us in the 5 min segment to the gym and do my entire workout there (she also provides a worksheet to follow so you don't get lost!).  Like I said, everything is spelled out for you.

MAY is Mother's Day {Santa Clarita Valencia 91355 Portrait Photographer}

Mother's Day is just around the corner!!!  The perfect gift?  Pamper shesh in my studio, of course!  Whether it's just Momma or the daughters too, invest in yourself and the beautiful women in your life!  It's an experience that won't be forgotten. 

This lovely lady happens to be my VERY talented hair and make-up artist!!!  This girl knows her stuff when it comes to making my clients look bee-you-ti-fullll!!!  Baby #3 is on his way this fall!!! I know he will be as darling as her other babes :)

HS Senior Portraits {Santa Clarita Valencia 91355 Senior Portrait Photographer}

Good news!!! I WON a Senior Portrait image competition!!!! YAY!!! They had a girls and boys section, Judge's choice and People's choice.  I won in the Judges Choice category.  Here's the winning image:

I've only ever entered into a handful of competitions, hesitantly at that, so this is a huge accomplishment for me!!!  I am thrilled and so excited to show you all about it :)

This beauty is a Senior in High School.  Yes.  High School.  She's gorgeous and I was doing an inner happy dance when they asked me to take her Senior Portraits!!!  We had such an incredible shoot!!!  I'll stop rambling and just show you instead:
